REPRESSED MEMORIES | animated short

This animation was done after the visuals I created for Leonardo Anker Vandal in collaboration with Andrea Pedrotti. The purpose of this work was to express the overwhelming feeling of entering in such an installation.

I quote from Leonardo's words during our conversations:

"It’s a place I saw in my dreams after a bad experience.
We all store some memories that we repress in order to continue living, but if that drawer is opened he’ll breaks loose.
This is the explanation of when all has come to the surface and either you are released from your pain or if get worse.
The installation idea is made out of thousands and thousands of old decoy birdcages and has been build as a tower, similar to Babel or even if you think of filling you head with them."

Again, I am so thankful to Leonardo to reach out to me and start this journey together for more than a year.
